Changes : Changes in hormones and hormone levels can cause irregular periods. The change in hormones to your new birth control method likely is causing spotting. This usually resolves on its own as your body gets used to the new hormones. If you had worsening spotting or new complaints then let the doctor know who prescribed you the birth control pills.
