Hello. : Hello. I can't diagnose the reason for your daughter's vaginal discharge. However, it isn't normal. She may have vaginitis. It can present with vaginal discharge as well as blood, odor, redness, swelling, burning or itching. Possible causes include: germs, chemical in soap or bubble bath, a foreign body or sexual abuse. I recommend that you schedule an appointment with her pediatrician so that the cause can be determined. Take care.

Evaluation needed: This can be triggered by soapy bathwater that was not rinsed well, fecal matter that brushes past the area if they don't wipe right, retained foreign material (toilet paper) etc.The process can also trigger a secondary urinary tract infection after itching drives germs into the bladder. The kid needs to have an exam and maybe a urinalysis. In the short term, clean water tub soaks can help.
