The : The most common cause for this problem is psychological. Instead of trying to fix the problem with physical stimulation such as what you described in your post, try to talk to your partner. If this is a new problem and you guys were fine before, then something must have occurred recently. Are there any issues going on in the relationship that are bothering him? Is there something he is upset about etc.? Is he attracted to you? These are all questions that need to be asked and answered in order for you all to move forward. Best of luck.

Your : Your boyfriend is very lucky to have someone as supportive & understanding as you. The fact that he's able to get erect when he's masturbating means that he has not mechanical/physiological issues. In other words, i suspect the problem is in his other head, so to speak. How's your relationship outside of the bedroom? Are you two getting along? I can't imagine that you're fighting any more than usual if you've tried everything to help him out but I do have to ask. Any family stress? Or friends having problems or getting in between you two? How about financial concerns? Has a discussion regarding marriage or children put a damper on things? Or perhaps he had a failure to launch recently, eg erectile dysfunction, such that he's worried about a repeat event and the stress of this is self-propagating. Every guy has an occasional bout of ed. What's important is getting back in the saddle so that it doesn't become a psychological issue. However, in the presence of medical conditions and poor health (habits), we need to get those addressed if ed continues to recur (although this doesn't appear to be the issue for your boyfriend since he can take matters into his own hands). Hope this helps. Good luck!
