If : If you took your birth control correctly (taking a pill every day around the same time every day without missing any) then you have a less than 1% chance of being pregnant. There are other reasons besides pregnancy that can cause a woman to miss a period such as: stress, diet, excessive exercise or a hormone imbalance such as with a thyroid disorder or polycystic ovarian syndrome. Even certain birth control pills with very low estrogen levels will prevent a period from happening. If you continue to have an irregular cycle and it is concerning for you, you should give your doctor or your ob/gyne a call. Good luck!

Missed period v preg: Have you actually performed a pregnancy test or are you just guessing because you missed a period? I would definitely perform a urine pregnancy test first.
