The : The research suggests that women with risk factors for heart disease are at a higher risk of developing it when on the pill. These risk factors include smoking, high blood pressure, obesity, diabetes, family history of blood clots, stroke, and heart disease. The research also indicates that birth control pills with a lower dose of estrogen poses a smaller risk. If you are healthy with none of the above risk factors, you should feel confident in regards to your risk of heart disease. If you are concerned or have further questions please consult your doctor.
