No, : No, your son will not grow out of his dyslexia, but he will learn to cope with it better. With lots of encouragement, positive feedback and special help with reading and writing, your son's skills will improve and reading and writing will become easier for him. Many very successful people have dyslexia and it has not stopped them from achieving their dreams. Just ask tom cruise, cher, pablo picasso and even albert einstein!

No, but his reading: decoding can improve with intensive multi-modal reading therapy like LindaMood Bell. Read " Overcoming Dyslexia" by Dr. Sally Shaywitz. If the school is doing Response to Intervention, you can request a Multi-Disciplinary Team Evaluation for eligibility for an Individualized Educational Plan at any time during RTI Levels 1,2 or 3. Lexialearning.org has modules to improve phonological awareness.
