The : The symptoms of stomach flu (diarrhea, nausea, vomiting) can last for 7-10 days as the virus/bacteria leaves your system. In the meantime you should eat a bland diet, avoiding fruits, spicy foods, dairy, greasy foods etc. If your symptoms persist past two weeks or worsen, and/or you have a high fever, see your doctor. Not unusual: You may just have had a shift in symptoms. Start with clear liquid like water, soda that is clear, or sports hydration drinks. Sip often to prevent dehydration. Work up to solids with bland foods like bananas, rice, applesauce, toast, gelatin, or chicken. Avoid alcohol, nicotine, caffeine, dairy & high fat foods. Rest.
