As : As far as I am aware there are no documented cases of a toddler suffering psychological damage from a long car ride. Physical damage from a long car ride is more open to interpretation. Things such as muscle cramps, pain, etc, can occur if riding too long, but can be avoided if frequent stops are made. Your child may become very upset and bored if riding for too long. How long of a ride are you planning? Is there another means of transportation that is possible.Consider someone riding in the back seat with your child to help calm him/her down. Consider buying a cd with lullabyes or kids music. Also a dvd player is a good idea. Eventually kids usually fall asleep after crying. Especially in the car. Just make sure they are entertained while awake. Consult your child's pediatrician for further advice.

No : I don't see how that would be possible as long as adequate fluids. And food were given and the child did not overheat. Take care.
