Dr : Dr lin provided excellent input. Your diet is extremely restrictive. There is a rainbow of colors when it comes to vegetables and fruits. Each contain different enzymes. To get a balance, you need to be eating a variety of colors. It is not surprising that your vitamin d levels are low with your limited food intake. Since you do not appear to take in red meat, you may also have a low carnitine level. I very much agree with the recommendation of working with a nutritionist.

Clearly : Clearly you need to add some vitamin d to your nutritional habits as demonstrated by your lab test. Once you've done so, be sure to get tested again in a few months to be sure that you're taking enough. Most folks can safely take up to 1-2, 000iu daily which is available in most stores. Your dietary consistency speaks well of your discipline. However, i'm not convinced that a caesar salad provides enough fiber & vitamins. You need more and varied vegetables as well as fruits. The deeper and brighter the colors, the more antioxidants that are present. Depending upon the specific type of cheerios, you're getting some fiber, but most likely not enough, say 25-35g/d, which could explain your hemorroids. You're probably getting enough protein from the chicken & chocolate chip cookie but you should discuss this with a (sports) nutritionist. You might want to consider switching to a fish source of protein at least several times a week and even add high potency fish oil to your daily regimen. Again, i can't overemphasize the importance of working closely w/your nutritionist and measuring your vitamin d regularly. You didn't mention your exercise or level of physical activity, nor stress level. Don't forget to bring up your concerns w/your family physician and get a thorough evaluation, including blood work for diabetes since you're emptying your bladder frequently. Good luck!
