Prostate cancer how can it be solved

Prostate : Prostate cancer can be approached in different ways. Treatment will depend on the patient's age, psa test, gleason score, and clinical stage. A wide range of treatment modalities are available for localized prostate cancer such as: active surveillance, seed implants, external beam radiationtherapy, surgery (open, laparoscopic, robotic), cryotherapy, and hifu. Other treatment modalities for locally advanced prostate cancer with or without metastasis include adding additional therapy such as hormonetherapy and/or chemotherapy.

Depending : Depending upon your age, health status, and characteristics of your prostate cancer (aggressiveness and spread as measured by gleason score and tmn staging), you might consider watchful waiting or active monitoring if you're older, less healthy, and have a low gleason score localized to your prostate. On the other hand, if you're younger and healthier w/higher gleason score, you should talk to your urologist about prostatectomy, your radiation oncologist about external beam (high dose vs proton beam vs ?) vs seed implant (brachytherapy), and your oncologist about other medical options, eg lowering your testosterone. Talk to your family physician. And talk to each of the above specialists. And don't forget that when you hold a hammer, everything looks like a nail but when you hold a screwdriver, everything looks like a philips or flat head screw. In other words, get opinions from everyone before making your decision. Good luck!
