The : The need for pain medication depends on multiple variables... These would include: the areas for treatment ( some areas are more painful than others), the amount of fat removal ( how agressive), and also the patient's tolerance. I find that my patients all need some pain medication for a few days, rarely is only tylenol (acetaminophen) adequate alone for this short period of time. I do not limit patient activity post liposuction, but most patients will self limit vigorous activity for a week or sometimes two. Again very dependent on areas and amounts of lipo. You will wear a compression garment for 4-6 weeks post operatievly as well.

I : I give it to my patients but i tell them try tylenol (acetaminophen) first and if you need more effective control then do the vicodin or percocet.Usually you may need them a couple of days at most.www.beautybybtueck.com.

After : After properly performed liposuction, patients rarely need any kind of pain killers. Most pain comes as the result of bruising of accumulation of blood. For more info visit www.Drgrossman.Com.

Yes: Liposuction is painful. It feels as if you have fallen from a horse and have bruises everywhere. You will need prescription pain medication at least for the first few days.
