A doctor has provided 1 answer

If : If you are on your period, then odds are you are not pregnant. However, if you are still concerned or if your period is abnormally light, you can take a home pregnancy test as long as it has been 5- 6 weeks since your last normal period. You can also go see your doctor and they can test you. A home pregnancy test is 97% accurate if taken a week or more after the missed period. A blood test can tell if you are pregnant as soon as 7 days after conception and a doctor's urine pregnancy test can tell if you are pregnant around when you next period should come. Anti-vomiting medications should not be given unless you are specifically told to do so by your doctor. The best course of action is to give your stomach a break for an hour or two and then restart hydration with clear fluids - an oral rehydration fluid such as pedialyte is ideal if you also have diarrhea. Sometimes you have to feed the fluid to yourself a tablespoon once a minute because a big gulp can trigger vomiting. If you do well with this after a couple hours, you can move on to bland foods. Reasons to call your doctor would be: -vomiting for more than 24 hours -diarrhea for more than 7 days -bright green or bloody vomit -bloody or black diarrhea -new fever -dehydration (no urination in 8 hours, dry mouth, no tears, dry or doughy skin).
