Whoa, wait a minute: Lung transplantation is an avenue of last resort. There are specific indications before considering transplantation which carries with it a whole difference set of medical problems. Generally, the threshold is very high and it is only when life expectancy is very limited, when lung transplantation is considered.

Pretty Bad!!: Don't be in a hurry for a lung transplant. It is a huge operation that is the last line of therapy for the most severe of lung problems - the last resort. Remember, every treatment has its downside, and a lung transplant brings its own special set of issues. Hang in there!
