The : The first thing you should do is take a pregnancy test if there is a chance you could be pregnant. Otherwise, brown discharge can be old blood, meaning blood that has been stagnant in the uterus for over a month. If you are irregular and have cycles where you do not ovulate (anovulation) then brown discharge/blood is common at the very beginning and end of the cycle. Lastly, consider the possibility of an infectious process (bacterial vaginosis or even an std). If your normal period has not started and you are still experiencing this brown discharge you should see your doctor for an evaluation. Take care.
