I : I am definately confused by how you are taking your flagyl. If you missed a dose, the recommendation is that you take the missed dose as soon as you remember. Just go without that dose, if if is almost time for the next scheduled dose. Don't double up to make up for the dose you missed. Are you are electing to stop taking your medication for the rest of today, so that you can drink alcohol? The answer to your question, is that it is medically contraindicated for you to drink alcohol tonight. You should not drink while you are taking Metronidazole and for at least 3 days after you stop taking it. Mixing alcohol with Flagyl can cause nausea and vomiting, you can feel hot and get red. It can also cause your heart to race. I recommend that you take your medication as it was prescribed.
