If : If you have red bumps on your thighs, it could represent a skin infection. Skin infections are usually caused by staph, and sometimes can be caused by mrsa, a very resistant staph infection. You should be evaluated by your doctor for consideration for antibiotic therapy or even drainage. If the lumps are large (greater than 1/2 centimeter), painful, with red streaks, or any fever or are spreading, then you need to be seen as an emergency.
