Abnormal : Abnormal periods can be caused by fluctuations in hormones. If you continue to have irregular spotting you should be seen for this. Please be sure your thyroid functions are normal. Weight issues (too high or too low) can cause abnormal bleeding. Please be sure your pap smear is up to date also. If this continues you need a complete medical evaluation. If you have pain, vomiting, or light-headedness, then you would need to be seen as an emergency.
