First, : First, i think you are way too young to be having sexual intercourse. However, if you elect to remain sexually active, please use some form of birth control protection. The american cancer society (acs) recommends having your first pap smear at age 21 or approximately three years after first having sexual intercourse (whichever comes first).

Although : Although the new recommendations are not to start screening for cervical cancer until age 21 (which is the purpose of a pap smear). You can protect yourself now against the hpv virus (certain types of hpv are known to cause cervical cancer) by getting vaccinated. Call your pediatricain's office and inquire about getting vaccinated, you may not need your parent's consent. Also contact a local family planning clinic for assistance. Also, since you are sexually active i recommend you get an std check. Always remember to protect yourself with condoms in addition to another form of birth control to protect against pregnancy. Take good care and be responsible.
