What is the significance of mma lab with diagnosis of parkinson's diagnosis of late onset (age 72) parkinson's for about 4 yrs but has not progressed as it might

The : The mma test is done to look for B12 deficiency. It may be that your doctor suspects B12 deficiency which is not uncommon in older people. B12 deficiency can produce neurological symptoms like balance problems and neuropathy. The progression of parkinsonism is variable but i suspect that your doctor is checking you out for correctable causes of your symptoms.
