No: Methotrexate should never be used by pregnant or breastfeeding women. It blocks the actions of Folic Acid (a vitamin that all pregnant women should be taking). This medication can cause serious birth defects or fetal death if taken in pregnancy. It is excreted in breast milk and should not be taken while breastfeeding as it can interfere with a baby's metabolism.
