How long does it take to heal completely from root resection? i am scheduled for a root resection, but am leaving on a cruise a couple of weeks after the procedure. will i be fully healed and able to eat normally by then?

Healed enough: Generally there is some swelling and discomfort for only a few days. Two weeks after the procedure you probably won't even feel any different and there shouldn't be any problems. I strongly recommend, however that you inform your dentist that you will be away then and ask if you should bring any medications with you just in case.
