How are ocd and add different?

Yes: Add ( adhd is all inclusive) is a specific diagnosis and is often associated with bipolar disorder, OCD and tic disorders. When you look at behaviors in adhd it isn't difficult to see that may be so. In the same way, OCD has a number of behaviors that can roughly look like adhd but for the most part adhd and OCD are different and may coexist.

OCD/ADD: OCD is obsessive compulsive disorder, which is comprised of obsessions (repeating unwanted thoughts) and compulsions (ritualistic behaviors to help deal with those thoughts) such as washing hands repeatedly, constantly cleaning, checking locks, and other similar behaviors. Often the emotions behind OCD are based in fear and/or anger that is unresolved and even unverbalized.ADD is impairedattention
