A member asked:

Polycystic kidneys what can i do for pain from pkd..

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Sometimes : Sometimes a single large cyst can cause pain. In that case, putting a needle into the cyst and draining it will relieve the pain. This is a procedure that would typically take just a few minutes and be done using ct or ultrasound guidance with only conscious sedation (it's not a very painful procedure). I would suggest that you visit the doctor finder page at the society of interventional radiology web site (sirweb.Org) to find a doctor in your area who can help you with this.
