I : I assume that this is all happening near the site at which your artery was accessed for your catheterization. It sounds like you had a little bleeding at the puncture site and are now seeing the blood through the skin. This is not uncommon when there's been bleeding under the skin and should not be cause for concern as long as the swelling is going down. If the symptoms persist or the swelling increases, you'll need an ultrasound examination of the artery to rule out an ongoing leak of blood.
