If : If your symptoms are still present you need a medical evaluation. If they are gone you likely had a viral gastroenteritis (stomach bug), which commonly causes loose stool and abdominal pain. Important things to rule out are colitis, diverticulitis (both infections in the colon). After a thorough history, physical, and diagnostic testing, a doctor should be able to diagnose and treat you.
