Unfortunately : Unfortunately I am answering this 7 days after you asked. You can have the tissue sent to pathology to look for chorionic villi. This period may have had overgrowth of the endometrium which came out in a sort of "cast"/ all at once. This would explain the excessive cramping. In the future, a miscarriage could potentially be confirmed with a pregnancy test. Even after a miscarriage the pregnancy hormone (HCG) doesn't drop immediately.
