Will hypopituitarism cause infertility in either a male or female child eventually?

Yes: Hypopituitarism is caused by deficiency of one or more of the 8 hormones. Infertility is caused in both male/female if one of the hormones that helps maintain fertility is deficient.

Yes: True hypopituitarism may prevent development of the reproductive organs in the first place. It may, however, be treatable with hormone replacements.

No: Most cases of hypopitiuitarism do not involve the cells that produce puberty signals. Only by measuring puberty hormone levels during the first 3 months of life or around puberty that fertility state can be assessed. A genetic test can also help if it is feasible.
