Circumcision? i have a uncircumsized 4 year old who keeps grabbing at his private parts and tells me his inside is itchy. he won't even let me retract it because he says it hurts too much. could this be am infection? i am thinking of getting him circumcis

First : First and foremost he needs an evaluation by his pediatrician. He may be dealing with an infection, either with bacterial or yeast. If an infection is present this needs to be treated right away. You should also tell your childs pediatrician that you are interested in having your son circumcised, he/she can refer you to a pediatric urologist who can go over all the pro's and con's of circumcision and the actual surgical procedure itself.

Normal boy behaviour: Many little boys love to grab & pull on their penis, this is normal, ift feels good. Smart boys will always give a reason if asked. Sometimes grabbed because they are having an erection which they don't understand. Could be itchy if he has small pearl-like collectionns of smagma under the foreskin. Unlikely to be anfection or inflammation unless red & swollen. Probably does not need circumcision.
