A : A common cause for the symptoms you described are uterine fibroids. These are benign tumors in the uterus, and often are the cause of heavy bleeding, clotting, and pain. Visit your doctor for an examination, he/she will also likely order a pelvic ultrasound. Treatment will vary based on the results. Your doctor will explain everything and suggest a treatment plan.
