Absolutely. : Absolutely. Strep pharangitis isn't discrimanatory when it comes to who to infect. It is probably rare in the very, very young. But at 17, you're a great candidate to get it. Go see a doctor, get examined, tested and treated. You'll be happy you did.

Yes: Sxs of strep throat can include: pain of throat; large, red tonsils w white exudates; small red dots on roof of mouth; swollen lymph nodes on neck; fever, headache, rash, difficulty swallowing, fatigue or rash. Get strep throat culture/ swab.
