If : If you are bleeding beyond 7 days you need to see your doctor for an examination and medication to stop the bleeding. You also need to be screened for anemia (low blood count). Irregular periods are common and have a variety of causes (hormonal issues, weight fluctuations, stress/anxiety etc. Your doctor can perform a complete work up for this problem, and hopefully find the cause. Also birth control pills may be a good option to stabilze your periods. Best of luck.
