Not contagious: Chronic tonsillitis is not contagious. Typically this means that you have had multiple episodes of infections involving the tonsils or that the tonsils are chronically sick. A common finding in chronic tonsillitis is tonsil stones. Chronic tonsillitis is a good reason to get them out. Other people like it sick from your chronic tonsillitis.
