The : The low hemoglobin may be from iron deficiency, chronic blood loss through the urine, or from kidney disease. Sometimes the blood in urine can only be detected by a microscope and is not seen with the naked eye. Blood in the urine can be caused by problems involving any of the organs in the urinary tract such as the kidneys, bladder, ureters, or urethra. The lists of possible causes is huge and without additional information, i can't begin to guess what it might be. If you have questions about what is going on, you should call the doctor that ordered the test. Since they are aware of the patient's history, age, gender, and other symptoms, they will be able to narrow down what might be going on.
