This : This could be a corneal abrasion and is usually quite painful. On friday afernoon, best chance to get treatment is an urgent care center. They can numb up your eyes with some topical eyedrops and evaluate your eye more comfortably. They need to check to make sure there are no other plastic pieces in your eye. Treatment usually is antibiotic ointment for the eye and an eyepatch overnight.

Injuries : Injuries to the eye can be very painful. If you have not yet seen an ophthalmologist, i recommend that you see one soon. Urgent care centers commonly have little ability to see fine detail of the eye and may miss significant pathology. In addition, trauma to the eye can lead to infections several days later.

It : It sounds like a corneal abrasion. It is a very painful condition but fortunately resolves quickly. Corneal abrasion expose your cornea to infection so you should be treated with an antibiotic as a prophylaxis. You should be seen by an ophthalmologist to make sure that there is no ruptured globe and to make sure that all foreign material is removed.
