Yes : Yes it is possible. There is a chance that although you were treated, the medication was ineffective at curing the std. Typically with an std like chlamydia (for example) a test of cure is done anywhere from 6 weeks to 3 months after treatment. This means a repeat chlamydia test is done. If positive another course of treatment is given. If you were never re-tested than maybe you still have an std. Going with my example, chlamydia often has no symptoms, and therefore can be undetected for long periods of time. I suggest you get std tesing done in order to be sure you are not harboring a disease. On the other hand, you also have to consider that the person in question got it from someone else. There are so many possibilites an opportunities for people to point fingers. I suggest you try and move on, apologize if it's in order, and begin to use protection everytime you engage in any sexual activity. Good luck.

STD treatment: Depending on the STD, it is probably unlikely you infected someone soon after you were treated. But it can happen: for example, azithromycin for chlamydia fails to cure about 1 patient in 20. It's often difficult and sometimes impossible to know for sure when and from whom any particular STD was acquired. It isn't necessarily the most recent partner. To be safe, you probably should be re-treated,
