Although : Although very rare, there is still a less than 1% chance that you can get pregnant with the Mirena (levonorgestrel) iud. Since you are having symptoms, please recheck a test to be sure. There are other hormonal causes of weight changes (thyroid, blood sugar problems), so please have a medical evaluation.

Not sure of ?: False positive pregnancy tests can occur for a number of reasons, and you would need to discuss these with your ob/gyn provider. I don't know of any relationship between smoking or quitting tobacco that would influence this.
