The : The fact that you have had your tubes tied makes a miscarriage a lot less of a possibility. You are lexperiencing menorrhagia (painful, heavy period), causes include: hormonal imbalance anovulation uterine fibroids (benign tumors of the uterus0 polyps cancer medication effect (i.e. Anti-inflammatory medications) pregnancy complications (miscarriage or ectopic pregnancy) in addition to this list there are other causes. It would be wise to visit your primary care provider or gynecologist for work up and treatment if needed. Good luck.

Need GYN MD exam: Heavy inter-menstrual bleeding is a concern. A pregnancy test may not be positive at this point if it is a miscarriage, however a GYN MD exam can start the investigative process to find out why. By the way, tubal ligation's can and do fail so have your GYN MD run a blood quantitative pregnancy test which can pick up small amounts of the pregnancy hormone, hCG.
