Unfortunately : Unfortunately for you, your doctor is right. It will take time for your hormones to normalize after your miscarriage. If you can not wait, you can consider starting birth control pills (bcp's). This will help stabilize your endometrium (lining of the uterus) and you should start having regular periods within the first 3 months of taking the bcp's. Please discuss this with your doctor if you have further questions. Good luck.

Go see GYN MD: Irregular periods post miscarriage indicate that ovulation frequency is markedly diminished unless you are on a form of hormonal contraception. See a GYN MD for assessment to determine why.
