Exercises : Exercises that target the abdominal area may strengthen and tone your muscles, but will not decrease the fat in that area. You really need to stick to the basics of a healthy lifestyle to effectively lose (and keep off) belly fat. Unfortunately, there are no short-cuts. The best tactics are to: - eat a healthy diet such as fruits, vegetables, whole grains and lean proteins. - keep portion sizes in check. - count calories or keep a food journal - engage in moderate aerobic exercise (such as jogging or a brisk walk) at least 2-3 hours a week or more - do over-all strength training exercise twice a week or more if you have any questions about specific exercises or dietary changes, call your doctor to discuss. A good diet and exercise has also been shown to improve cholesterol, depression and fatigue. Good luck!

OSA?: Do you snore? Did you ever have a sleep study? You should see your dr anyway, to start (or continue) treating your cholesterol problem, and monitor your diet;you could ask him if he would consider a study to rule out obstructive sleep apnea, among other tests. Just one more suggestion.
