First : First of all let me state how impressed I am that you performed a cervical check on yourself! now to the question at hand. The odds of becoming pregnant after a tubal ligation is approximately 6/1000 women, this number tends to increase after the first year. The reasons this may occur is #1 the surgery was not done correctly #2 your tubes grew back together, or something called recanalization occurred, which means another pathway has formed that allows the egg and sperm to meet. The symptoms you described and your exam could be consistent with pregnancy, or could be a result of normal hormonal changes that can occur at any time in a woman's life. Your doctor may also want to perform pelvic ultrasound in order to make sure there is nothing causing your cervix to be low (i.e. Uterine fibroid pushes down on your cervix). This is less likely but a possibility nonetheless. Good luck on the 28th and beyond!
