A : A UTI will not affect the results of a pregnancy test. However, there is a chance that the pregnancy test was done too soon or was possibly a false negative. The bottom line is you should have another pregnancy test. You can request a blood test which will be definitive. Also you should begin treatment for the UTI if you have not done so already.

Pregnancy test: Agree with Dr. Jackson. If you had sex since your last period and miss your period by 4-5 days do a home pregnancy test. . If the result is negative repeat the test 4-5 days later unless you get a period by then. Use first morning urine and follow the instructions for the test carefully.
