After : After pregnancy it takes a while for your hormones to stabilize, this means you could have irregular periods for quite awhile, which could be the cause of the bleeding. If you are breastfeeding this further complicates the issue, and could add to abnormalities in your cycle. However, if you are having light bleeding after intercourse this needs to be evaluated by your ob/gyn. Based on a history and physical your doctor can determine if this bleeding is normal, or caused by another issue. Try not to worry, it is likely your body adjusting to a post-pregnancy state, and the bleeding is a result of a hormonal imbalance that should soon correct itself.
