Children : Children who are born with diabetes can begin showing signs and symptoms of the condition early on and yes, even at the age of 2. It is great that you are keeping an eye on your child's health because early management of childhood diabetes (or diabetes type 1) can save him/her of long term damage caused by untreated diabetes. If your child is displaying signs of diabetes such as extreme thirst/hunger when awake and slow healing of rashes, have your child assessed for diabetes.
