Try : Try to recall if you passed the stones in your urine. Many men would recall this because it is very painful. Unfortunately the only way to recieve a definitive answer is to continue to follow up with your doctor and allow him/her to investigate your pain.
It sounds like hydrating your body is helpful. Continue to drink lots of water and avoid food/drink that can cause distress to your kidneys like food that is high in fat and sodium. As you fight this infection, you must cater your diet accordingly (to prevent further formation of stones) and drink plenty of fluid.
