Symptoms : Symptoms of appendicitis include pain around the navel and/or the right lower part of the abdomen, nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, fever/chills and diarrhea. What you describe sounds more like a hernia and should be evaluated by a physician.

The : The classic symptoms of appendicitis involve pain in the right lower portion of the abdomen. If you draw a line between your belly button and the right hip bone, the appendix is most commonly located 2/3 of the way to the hip bone. The pain may start elsewhere in the abdomen at first, but if it become constant in this area, you might have appendicitis. It sounds from your description that this is more likely a hernia, as appendicitis does not cause bulging. Your symptoms may also be from a kidney stone. I would recommend seeing someone for your pain, if you have not already.
