Cipro (ciprofloxacin) and Levaquin are too of the more common antiobiotics that are used because of their ability to penetrate the prostate tissue. However, antibiotic choice depends on a number of things including a patient's allergies and other medical history, whether or not they have had prior antibiotics, and the community bacterial pattern.

Yes: The prescribed dose is usually twice daily for 14 days! it usually takes about 2 days before you will notice a decrease in your symptoms. Be sure to take the entire 14 days of meds!
