Could i use a normal household item, or something from the hardware store, to shrink my enlarged prostate?

Never: There are no household items you can use to "shrink" the prostate gland. In fact, this would be very dangerous and can cause permanent damage. It is only treated with prescribed medications or surgery depending on the symptoms. See a urologist if you have difficulty with urination.
