A female asked:

What are survival odds for early stage stomach cancer? its stage 1, so is it likely it can be cured? will i have to worry about it coming back?

Dr. Mark Hoepfner
Surgery 41 years experience
Depends: Would need more information on tumor size, location, cell type, and surgical margins but stage 1 would have the best results & best survival statistics. May likely need repeat endoscopy & biopsies in the future to watch.
Created for people with ongoing healthcare needs but benefits everyone.
