Antiinflammatory : I am a big fan of the antiinflammatory diets. The medical benefits of these diets are numerous and well documented. The china study, forks over knives, and preventing and reversing heart disease are excellent books about this topic. My wives cousin was diagnosed with RA and it was recommended she start on methotrexate. She started on a vegan diet with no meat or dairy and she is asymptomatic.

Natural cures: Rheumatoid arthritis is best managed with strong medicines to help the immune system turn off. While you will be able to find a zillion web pages on natural cures for arthritis (because there are so many folks with it and there is money to be made) your best bet is with a board certified rheumatologist. If he says you need surgery it will be very bad.
