A member asked:

I have fibrimyalgi and memory problems. are they associated? how? what. can i do to minimize the effects?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: Fibromyalgia is associated with cognitive issues, and of course sleep issues which indeed are a viscious circle of deterioration. There are drugs specifically indicated such as lyrica, cymbalta, savella, (milnacipran) and these may well help. Also, exercise, stress management, and pacing yourself are of value. In some cases daytime meds such as Provigil or Nuvigil may help enhance memory by improving focus.
